Electrocoagulation is a technique used for minor skin blemishes that uses the probe used for electrolysis. This process is to coagulate blood and diffuse the blemish by inserting a fine probe into the skin and applying a small amount of current.
- Ruby Points (Cherry angiomas) are highly concentrated dilate capillaries and can be flat to the skin or larger and slightly raised. They are usually treatable in one session, depending on the amount present.
- Spider veins and broken capillaries can be easily treated by cauterizing the blood of the capillaries. Fading begins about three weeks after treatment and the capillaries begin to disappear. Typically up to three treatments may be required, although there may be a noticeable difference after just one treatment.
- Skin Tags are very common small soft skin growths. They are harmless but can be annoying. These can be treated permanently by touching the base of the tag with the tip of the probe while releasing a small amount of current. The skin tag will fall off on its own within the next day or two
